10 Inspirational Quotes For Digital Entrepreneurs
The Internet has been a blessing, especially for us moms.
Being digital entrepreneurs, we have access to so many opportunities to make work-life balance a possibility for us. But with opportunities, come challenges as well. A lot of hard work and strategy goes into creating top notch content and then actually making a dime on it.
I have been part of this digital world for some time now and it has been an amazing time of self-discovery and satisfaction for me. There is so much to learn and grow into that I sometimes forget that I am pregnant and about to bring our 3rd blessing into this world!
But there are times when I get so overwhelmed with all that is to be done on daily basis, not just as a mom but as a digital entrepreneur as well. When that happens, I direct my attention to something that instantly lifts me up. I look up to other people who have been where I am today and get inspired to get me back on track.
I am sharing 10 of those inspirational quotes with you today. With each quote, I share my story with it. I really hope you connect with some if not all of them and feel inspired to keep going in the direction that you have chosen for yourself.
A year from now, you’ll wish you had started today.
I connect with this quote so much so that I used my picture in the background instead of a stock photo (smiling).
One of the most common ways to explore digital entrepreneurship is through blogging. Blogging had been on my mind for so long. I even shared this with one of my closest nieces (more like a friend, a few years younger than me) from time to time. And now that I am actually doing it, it all feels like a dream come true.
I am so glad I actually left all my inhibitions behind and jumped all into it. Living and loving every moment of it!
Never Start A Business Just To “Make Money”. Start A Business To Make A Difference.
This quote comes from one of my favorite digital entrepreneurs of all times, Marie Forleo. And I just feel like she had me in mind while writing this.
I come from a very humble background where money always come in the end and everything else takes the precedence. For me, connection and meaning are first and foremost. I crave for long lasting relationships and friendships with my readers.
Of course, I want to be financially sustainable while doing that. But my passion comes first, then anything else. That ties beautifully with the next quote that talks about relationships.
Don’t build LINKS. Build RELATIONSHIPS.
Since I am all about relationships, no wonder it’s one of the quotes that spoke to me.
There is a subtle but very important difference between building links and building relationships. And that difference is the motive. If the motive is solely making money, then 9 out of 10 times, you would find yourself with a lot of restlessness and anxiety, especially in the beginning of your journey. What to write becomes such a big deal.
If I ever feel like that, I go back to my readers and see if I there is something that I can provide a solution for and I always find ideas for my blog posts right away!
The best way to persuade people is with your ears – by listening to them.
When it comes to making sense of all the effort you put in your business, digital entrepreneurship is no different than the regular business world. Lend your ears to what your readers/followers/fans are saying. If you know the real problems then you can work on providing real solutions to those problems.
When you connect with people genuinely, you don’t really have to chase them to buy from you. They come to you coz you provide something that is of value to them.
It might take a little while to understand the core problem for you to provide a solution for but once you do, rest follows beautifully.
Start with the end in mind and work backward.
I have always been a very detail oriented person. I used to struggle with looking at the big picture and figure how what I am doing right now fits into the big scheme of things.
Ever since I started working backward, I am seeing the results that it brings. When your goal is too far away in the future it’s easy to get lost doing nothing.
But when you know exactly what you need to do every day for you to achieve your goal by the end of the year, then it’s easy to concentrate on tasks (e.g. creating content, social media management, revenue) that really matter.
Next few quotes bring attention to exactly that.
The paradox is the more info you give away, the more people will buy what you have to give.
I find this quote really interesting. Why; you ask?
When we step into digital entrepreneurship, and with any other kind of business for that matter, time and money freedom are one of the most heard reasons why. Very few people I know, including myself, get hung up on what WE want out of this venture that we just started and not on what the reader/customer wants.
It takes the mindset shift to move your focus from yourself to the reader/customer. But when that happens, you tend to give more without attaching yourself with the outcome so much, and desired results start pouring in.
Content builds relationships. Relationships are built on trust. Trust drives revenue.
This quote puts everything in context for me.
Whenever I feel a bit more fixated on the financial outcome, which is not a lot at all these days, this quote brings me back. Luckily writing comes naturally to me, and I love building genuine relationships to build my tribe. So I take comfort in knowing that money will come.
It puts my mind at ease and I continue to concentrate on doing what I love.
Working with inner peace is one of the best things you can have. Won’t you agree?
Content is fire; social media is gasoline.
There is no doubt that content is king. But quality content alone does not bring the audience with it.
Just imagine if we don’t have TV marketing all these products/services to us, how many of them would we be aware of. There might be thousand of cool things in the world, that might have the potential to make our lives better but if we don’t know that they exist, would we ever be able to make use of them?
This quote is funny but so true. Social media presence these days is no longer a choice, it’s a necessity. And luckily for us mommy digital entrepreneurs, it is the basis of our existence.
Influence is providing attention and value to others.
I crave for building relationships with people that I could leave a positive impact on.
I love to show people new ways of doing things, or things they haven’t considered before that might change their way of thinking or life. And the best way of doing it is to provide value.
Subtle acts of providing value are what makes you influential in your field.
Any time there is an opportunity, go above and beyond what’s required and you will see the magic happen.
Google only loves you when everyone else loves you first.
I want to leave you with this funny one in the end.
Our best friend google loves us only when everybody else starts loving our content, and what we offer. It’s funny but true.
So keep doing what you love doing. Keep learning and growing. And slowly make friends with Google’s left-hand ‘keywords’ and right hand ‘SEO’.
Once you do, Google would definitely take notice and in time become your buddy for sure.
Hoping that these 10 inspirational quotes for digital entrepreneurship do the same for you what they do for me. I would love to hear which quote, in particular, you connected the most and why?
And feel absolutely free to share these with someone who could make use of them. Would love to see them inspiring others like they inspire me.
